Sea World Orlando's TurtleTrak

"When the child goes out, it is the world itself that offers itself to him.  Let us take the child out to show him real things instead of making objects which represent ideas and closing them in cupboards."  Maria Montessori

Last weekend we headed to Sea World to see the aquarium exhibit located in the TurtleTrak 3D experience.  It was great seeing these amazing creatures up-close.  In the aquarium exhibit there were two kinds of sea turtles, loggerhead and green sea turtles.  A rescue team member told us many amazing facts about sea turtles and threats they are currently facing.

We decided not to proceed to see the 3D experience since it might over-stimulate Kole.  We stayed the whole time admiring the magnificence of all the sea creatures that reside in the aquarium exhibit.

After exiting the TurtleTrak theatre, we were able to enjoy more viewing.

"Race to the Beach" is a motion-controlled video game where you get to pick a turtle and make your way from the sea to the beach by avoiding obstacles along the way.  Both Cici and Kole really enjoyed our trip to Sea World.  They have learned so much from this hands-on experience.

Sea turtle activities will be posted soon on our blog.  Have a great weekend!
